A Message From Danny

Jan 18, 2012

A little over one year ago I was in Montana at Benefis hospital living with the help of several machines. Suffering a traumatic brain injury, January 3rd of 2011, has been the most challenging and difficult time in my life. It’s absolutely crazy to think about everything that my family and friends have been through since my accident. Watch as we documented everything surrounding my accident before, during and after. All my hard work paid off and I got to return to snowboarding just one year after my injury. I hope you can find inspiration in my story as I have found it in many of you through your continued support, love and encouragement. Continue to do what you love but please be safe!

Danny, I can’t believe how far you’ve come in just a year. You have quite a incredible story. When word of your accident went viral, I too, was one of the many who followed your progress thanks to Conor and Danny Is the Bomb website. You have a strong will for life; adventure and it truly shows. Your laugh is infectious and it brings me back to the days when we used to work together at Zeb’s.

Danny, you are an inspiration and it pleases me to know that you have come so far in your healing process. You have a wonderful support system in place and it is clearly demonstrated in “Moving Forward”.

Thanks to all of you for sharing.
    Be well, be strong.
    Kelly

This movie teared me up a bit, was riding with my bro in law last winter and he broke his femur, we almost lost him twice due to it, just a reminder to everyone to be safe out there doin what we all love, glad to see your recovery Danny and thanks for the wear a helmet message, I won’t ride without mine, just doesn’t feel right,

Hey Danny! First of all I have to say I’m very impressed with your story and the way you recovered in one year. Congrats man!
I really like this sport. I’ve been snowboarding for the last 10 or 12 years but it wasn’t until today that i’ve heard about people like you, Kevin Pierce or Sarah Burke. As I sayed I’m very impressed for all that you have been through. And I’m happy for you. Take care!
    Saludos
